At Purple House, the family as a whole unit is a major focus of our work and support in the community.
When a child or a family member is diagnosed with cancer, children may become overwhelmed/anxious, feel isolated and have very mixed emotions.
We provide a range of support services for children and young adults affected by cancer, including art therapy, sensory & creative Therapies, individual counselling, social outings, arts & crafts classes.
Our Children’s Clinical Team is made up of:
- Child and Family Liaison Co Ordinator (BA (Hons) Degree in Early Childhood Teaching and Learning)
- Children’s Counsellors & Psychotherapists (IACP Accredited)
- Purple House Director of Services
Our Counsellors & Psychotherapists are specifically trained to deal with the issues that affect children and cancer.
