The Beirne 3 Peaks Challenge returns on August 23rd, 2025
Walk With Meaning. Remember With Love. Support With Purpose.
The Beirne 3 Peaks Challenge is not your typical mountain hike.
This special event invites you to walk three of Wicklow’s most iconic peaks: Big Sugarloaf, Little Sugarloaf & Bray Head.
A walk in memory of loved ones lost to cancer and in support of families living with cancer, today.
Now in its fourth year, this special event was born from one family’s grief — and their determination to turn it into something meaningful.
“After losing my mum, dad, and sister, I created the Beirne 3 Peaks Challenge.
I wanted to turn the pain of our loss into something meaningful. Something positive.
That’s why I started this challenge — in their honour, and for everyone who has faced the heartache of cancer.
That’s why it’s called The Beirne 3 Peaks Challenge”.– Louise Mulgrew (nee Beirne)
This day is not about speed or competition.
It’s about walking in memory of loved ones lost to cancer — or in support of families living with cancer.
Every step is a tribute. But this isn’t just a walk of remembrance — it’s a walk with purpose.
All proceeds from the event go directly to Purple House Cancer Support, helping fund essential services for families living with cancer.
By signing up and fundraising, you’re ensuring nobody has to face cancer alone.
Whether you’re walking in memory, in hope, or in solidarity — come and be part of something powerful.
Together, we walk. Together, we remember. Together, we support.
