Share Your Cancer Story — Your Voice Can Change a Life
Every cancer journey is unique. It carries moments of fear and uncertainty, but also strength, hope, and resilience.
At Purple House, we believe that every story has the power to touch hearts and transform lives.
By sharing your experience, you can help someone feel less alone, inspire others to seek support, and shine a light on the realities faced by people living with cancer.
Your words can raise awareness, build understanding, and drive the support needed to keep vital services available for families and communities.
What’s Involved?
The Purple House team shares personal stories in many different ways, using a variety of platforms to raise awareness and support.
A member of our team will contact you for a friendly chat. They will explain why we are sharing stories, how your experience could help others, and where your story may be featured.
We will talk with you about your journey and help shape it into a written piece that feels true to you.
In some cases, we may also take photos or record short videos—only where appropriate and only with your full agreement.
Throughout the entire process, Purple House will support you.

Who Can Take Part?
Purple House welcomes anyone who feels ready to share their experience and help others understand the impact of cancer support.
You may be a good fit if:
- You are currently receiving or have previously received cancer treatment, or
- You or a family member have used Purple House services, or
- You volunteer with Purple House and would like to share your experience of being part of our community
In addition, we ask that you:
- Feel comfortable representing Purple House and the work we do in a positive, respectful, and supportive way
- Are happy to give consent for your words, experience, image, or voice to be shared publicly as part of awareness or fundraising efforts
Your story has the power to bring comfort, inspire hope, and create real change. If you feel ready, we would be honoured to walk this journey with you.
