Description

“The Upside of Lockdown. A collection of inspiring stories from Wicklow” Jillian Godsil and Marlena Murphy.

The book is a physical memory of the positive stories that came out of Lockdown in Wicklow. They are diverse, interesting and insightful personal memoirs, spread across a wide variety of people in Wicklow.

It is a snapshot of what we did in Wicklow; how people felt, coped, cried and laughed, and hoped for a better time to come.

The official launch took place on the bank holiday Friday, 18th March at 11am in the Rise At The Cove Café in Greystones.

This special day was established in recognition of the efforts of the general public, volunteers and all workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. We felt that it was a perfect day to celebrate the launch of our community book.

Profits from the book sale will go to Purple House and the Cancer Support Centres in Wicklow, Tiglin and The Bee Sanctuary of Ireland. Book retails at €9.99.

You can buy it at Rise At The Cove Café in Greystones, at Purple House in Bray, and online https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B09SS5Y66Q
Kindle version of the book is also available.
