Cycle France with Purple House


Our 2nd annual cycle challenge in France is taking place from the 7-12th October 2017 and we want YOU to join us and help us to make a difference to the lives of families affected by Cancer.

The cycle is open to cyclists of all abilities and is the perfect way to explore a beautiful part of Southern France.

The group of 20 Purple House Heroes will depart from Dublin airport on Saturday 7th October and fly to Carcassonne.  From there the group will take a train to Beziers where the bikes will be waiting for you to begin the adventure!

The Itinerary:
Day 1 Saturday 7th October:

Fly Ryanair Dublin to Carcassonne – train to Beziers

Day 2 Sunday 8th
Start of cycle from Beziers to Bedarieux – 47km – hills.

Day 3 Monday 9th
Bedarieux to St. Pons – 39km – Passa Pais (converted rail track)

Day 4 Tuesday 10th
St. Pons to Mazamet – 36km –  Passa Pais (converted rail track)
Day 5 Wednesday 11th
Mazamet To Carcassonne – 52km – bike pick up from hotel.

Day 6 Thursday 12th
Depart Carcassonne for home.

The sole aim of the trip is to raise funds for Purple House Cancer Support Centre to provide vital services such as counselling, camps and workshops for children, hospital transport and a range of classes and complimentary therapies.

Each participant must pay their own flights, accommodation and bike hire costs themselves prior to raising sponsorship.  Full details on flights, hotels etc will be given once you register.
The minimum sponsorship required is €500 per person.
